How long does it keep after opening?
Keep the bottle tightly closed at room temperature, away from light and heat. For best quality, consume within 3 months of opening.
What makes Ballot-Flurin Winter Syrup special?
It is made in our workshops in the Pyrenees using 100% organic and French ingredients, handcrafted with care. Its unique recipe is based on a homemade maceration of local plants in traditional apple cider vinegar, giving it a rich, aromatic and authentic flavour, far removed from industrial syrups.
Does Winter Syrup contain alcohol?
Yes, Winter Syrup contains a small amount of alcohol (5.2% alc. vol.), derived exclusively from the black propolis extract it contains.
 
At Ballot-Flurin, black propolis is prepared using a traditional artisanal process: it is macerated in organic spirit to extract its naturally occurring aromatic and active compounds. This ancestral expertise produces a rich, authentic extract, with no alcohol added other than that contained in the propolis extract.
 
Winter Syrup is therefore reserved for adults. For younger users, choose Tonic’Abeille Syrup, which is alcohol-free.
Why has my Propolis Winter Syrup become thicker or crystallised?
Winter Syrup contains honey, which may naturally crystallise. Our bees recommend gently warming the bottle in a bain-marie to make the syrup more fluid, then turning the bottle upside down to mix well.
